Stop the Pebble Mine! : Thank You - Take Action!: NRDC's Save BioGems
The EPA has once again released its latest scientific findings, determining the devastation mining would bring to the beautiful waters, wilderness, wildlife and the people of Alaska's Bristol Bay. This just happens to be one of our planet's last and greatest wild places. WE need to stand up and help protect
this from the mining industry who does not have the planet's best interest at heart. This could only spell disaster. If this moves through... the salmon fisheries will be decimated and some 14,000 jobs will be destroyed not to mention the $1.5 million dollars a year it generates. We need to protect our waters and not let the mining companies destroy our planet!!!
Please follow the link and sign the petition...tell the EPA and the Whitehouse we will not stand for this pristine area to be compromised to line the pockets of a few! My heart thanks you!

Beatitudes for the 21st Century
by Jan Phillips....
Blessed be the Earth and those who tend her, for she is the source and sustenance of our lives.
Blessed be the children who hunger for food, learning, and homes that are safe, for their future is shaped by our choices today.
Blessed be refugees fleeing the violence of war and poverty-may they find shelter, peace, and work that sustains them.
Blessed be those who are calling for freedom, resisting oppression and risking their lives in the struggle for justice, for they are the shapers of a brighter world.
Blessed be the persecuted and the wrongly judged, for theirs is a sorrow lessoned only by mercy and human kindness.
Blessed be the prophets who speak and write of a world beyond war, for theirs are the words becoming flesh.
Blessed be the story-tellers, music-makers, and artists at life, for they are the true light of the world.
Blessed be the tender-hearted who mourn and grieve the wars we've fought, the lives we've lost - may peace ride in on the river of their tears.
````````````````````````````````````````````````````
I say....Blessed be the visionaries, like Jan Phillips, who envision extraordinary in all of life's journey and practice it by living it in each moment of now, so that those who are witness to it glean a new understanding of the responsibility to our Brother and Sister, The Wild Kingdom, and Mother Earth and Father Sky.
A'HO!
Wishing for You, a day filled with Blessed Be! Happy Easter!!!
World Water Day-March 22, 2013
Water is Life, it is the elixir which sustains every living thing on our planet...for more information on what is happening, check in with your city and state resources and participate in a water ceremony, many will be going on all weekend.
Here is a link to read about the United Nations Human Rights...which includes but is not limited to
environment, extreme poverty, water and sanitation, many women's issues, health and so on. There are many links to inform over there.
You can also check out WaterKeeper Alliance...they are on Facebook, Twitter, Ecowatch, YouTube and have a website, here:
There are many First Nations Peoples engaging in Idle No More events in Canada, Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, and I'm sure other places too, but these are the ones I'm aware of.
Jan over at Water Is Life blog is a must see!
Check her out here:
There is a Spring Equinox Water Meditation
at Dancing With Water...you can check that out here:
I hope you can find a body of water to do ceremony...or perhaps you are more of an activist type and would like to participate in that way...whatever the case may be please remember Mother Earth's Waters in your prayertime each day
and hold honor and respect deep in your heart, your being. We need to live in unity with Water instead of marginalizing, privatizing, polluting what is most necessary for every living thing.
Thank You!
A'HO!
When It Rains
Please go to You Tube and read the information that is
associated with this powerful video...as well, please visit:
Decolonization to read a very moving article on First Nations
women and what they still face and live through every day. Just click on the word Decolonization.
As a Woman, Mother, Grandmother, this seriously is a concern
to me. It brings me to my knees and breaks me. How can we
as women from any race continue to allow this to happen to
our Beautiful Sisters no matter what land they live upon? It is
time to stand in solidarity.
A'HO!
P.S. Here is another video to watch:
Scrap the Open-Pit Mining Bill
Not only are the chemicals toxic to all of life, the lands
surrounding this allegedly 'safe' mining procedure would
fall prey to rape of the worst kind. The Bad River Tribes
depend on the natural wild rice in these areas for not only
their sustenance, but for earning a living as well. This
wild rice slough is one of the biggest in Wisconsin. As well,
they want a 21 mile area that cuts 1200 feet deep in some
areas and then they want to build a buffer on 1000 feet on
each side of the Bad River. Even with the best of technologies
water and land pollution will still happen and all we are left
with is a huge, ugly land and water scar.
If you can help in any way help to stop this bill in its tracks
I would be so very appreciative. I do not live in Northern
Wisconsin but eventually even my waters will be affected in
Southern Wisconsin...
I don't understand how the DNR, the EPA and the Army Corps
of Engineers can blindly turn their heads and allow this bill to
be pushed through. Wisconsin proudly boasts of her pristine
waters that have become home to many tourists, fishermen,
families that enjoy coming to our state to vacation, etc...it all
saddens me greatly, which is why I decided to post this ad
here today. As a Grandmother and Water Keeper who prays
for healing for our Mother Earth's waterways, this is of utmost
importance to me, and for those of you who live in Wisconsin
and in other areas of our country who are facing these same
decisions I hope you will let your voice be heard. It is the
only way we can hope to keep our lands safe and sacred for
the present and for the next seven generations to come. It is
time for the truth to be heard!!!
A'HO!
If you are interested in helping let me know and I will point
you in the right direction.
Thank You!
Does This Concern You?
Last evening as I was watching the news,
I was appalled at the images that were
coming out of Beijing, China....I mean my
Godstars! Just when in the hell are we
going to wake up and stop burning fossil
fuels. When are we going to stop polluting
Mother Earth and every living thing on it?
When will our lawmakers and politicians
realize we are living on the edge of total
destruction.
We are spewing forth more mercury than
ever into the atmosphere...burning more
coal, leaking more natural gasses as we
speak through fracking, and you cannot
convince me one iota that we shouldn't
be seriously restricting this in every city in
every nation. We all know the truth.
Corporations pull the purse strings and
the rest of us can go to hell in a handbasket.
It isn't often I get angry and speak out loud
about how I feel about all of this...yeah I
post a lot of petitions on this blog for my gentle
readers to hopefully take a stand against
or for as per the case, but to really show
what makes me just insane isn't some-
thing I do often enough.
Already this morning I've read about too
many things that threaten our very
existence on our Dear Earth Mother, and
Father Sky, not to mention our Waters
which in direct relation to everything else
goes without saying we pollute when we
allow all this other 'chit' to happen.
No longer can we afford to sit idly by.
It begins with each of us. Do what you
are able to ensure that you are not
adding to a future for your children that
includes living in a bubble to be able to
survive.
There's a good write-up on NPR today...
Here's the link: Beijing's Airpocalypse...
As well just type in a search for mercury
leaks and see what you find...it's enough
to scare the living hell out of you.
And as my blog title reads...does this
concern you? If not, maybe it should.
I'm just sayin'....
