Ottawa Action: Even More on the Tar Sands...
If you'd like to read more about this action here is a link:

Truly this makes me weep...I weep for the Injustice, I weep
for the Water and the Sacred Lands, I weep for the People
who as of yet have not become awakened to what is really
happening on this Our Earth Mother. There are so many
reasons why we should not allow these large corporations
access to the very life blood that sustains us! It is up to
us to change the laws, to stand together in solidarity, with
All Peoples from all walks of life...as We are in this together!
Inform yourself and take action please, wherever you reside?
Say No to the Tar Sands, sign petitions, walk, protest!!!!!
A'HO

Oh Akasa I am so ashamed this is going on in our country ! It is such a sad sad thing like the mountaintop removal in the states . here in Manitoba we are having this horrid campaign for a big hydro bipole project . there is a big debate on what side of the lake to do this project when really it should not be happening at all . it means more devastation to the boreal forest more population and harm to the wetlands and lake etc. it also means selling power to the states to make big money and once we do this big project what is next . I cry too & my soul aches so badly I can feel the pain of Mother Earth , my home . Thank You so much for praying !if our Green party gets in this election they have said No bipole project at all , so there is a small glimpse of hope .
sadsad
thanks for the links
love you
I am so glad to find in you a kindred spirit who understands how horrific these tar sands are.
I have written about it in the past on my earth blog (which I've stopped writing on for the indefinite future), and I've posted about it on facebook. But very few, especially here, seem to care. It's all about the push to get North American oil for the near future at all costs, and creating a few temporary jobs that will probably make the workers sick in the end. This topic of the tar sands is very near and dear to me, and it makes me so very sad that it even exists.
