Morning Has Broken

This morning I awoke with a
sense of renewal...a sense of
joy and happiness I haven't
felt in a long time.  Yes, I
am joyous everyday for the
most part and love the early
morning as I rise to greet
each day and the miracle of
it, but today was just different.

Over and over this morning the
song "Morning Has Broken" has
been playing itself in my head.
When I used to attend church
we would sing this every Sunday
morning...it was our opening
song.  So when I awoke this
morning with this song playing
in my head and I went to the
door to greet Father Sky and
Mother Earth it was with the
realization that each morning
we arise is truly a miracle.

We've come from the Land of
Dreaming and crossed the
doorsill into the Awakening
and we have brand new breath
coming into our bodies...

That my friends is Glory and
Grace!  So this morning, I am
still singing this beautiful song
and will leave you with it...I
hope you join me in singing it
and realizing the Brand New
Day we have been given to
rejoice and be glad in it!

Awwww...it is wonderful! I just adore this song myself and sometimes find myself getting very misty-eyed when hearing it.

Spring is in the air...I can feel it deeply today for some reason!

The resident Cardinal has been singing all day so far, lol...a great harbinger of things to yet come!

This morning I woke up at 5:00 am and, instead of immediately sitting in front of my computer, I took my coffee outside and just sat in the stillness - breathing it all in. As I sat there, a cardinal came to roost in the barren hedge beside me.

Ah yes...spring is in the air - along with promise!

Thank you for a great way to start the day!!

Dani...

Isn't it glorious...the morning sounds we take for granted? The cardinal who takes residence here is singing loud and strong as I type here and it just makes me long for a bit warmer weather so that I can get outside more easily and begin the spring rituals of cleaning the deck, etc., all the while communing with my beloved birds and animals as they are so much a part of who I am!

Thank You for stopping over with your cuppa and sharing your heartsong today! :)

I'm finding this on March 1, and I danced out to the awful bike at the dreaded gym this morning because Spring is in the air! Can you smell it? Can you feel it? The clouds are flying and revealing clear blue sky! Fly away, snow clouds!

How is it that we all have cardinals? Hmmm...does yours peek in your window, too?

Visited yesterday with my almost-97-year-old great-aunt. She is in the winter of her life; but in spite of that, Spring IS in the air! Loving the message! Thanks for the Cat Stevens!

Ahhh yes, March...the fickle month, lol! It is coming in like a lamb here and supposed to be up in the 40's by weeks end.

I wish the cardinals were peeking in my windows Pam...where I used to live they did, but not here alas!

I actually have a pic of the cardinals at the feeder outside my window at the Stone House where I used to live...what I got back was reflective of the window and the cardinals were many, lol, but I love that picture!

Oh...I am so happy you are able to visit with you elderly Auntie...that must bring you great joy!

And yes, I think the snow clouds are hearing are mutterings and blowing away to reveal the glory of Father Sky!

Have an awesome day Sister! :)

Here in England, March has started with sunshine and has stayed with us all day. So even though it is still chilly it's easy to feel optimistic. It's just the waiting now for the tight buds to unfurl in their glorious green and the earth to warm at least on this side of the equator. It has been a long long winter.

Beloved Fyre Bird...I love your name! :)

Welcome and Greetings...

Seems everyone is getting a bit antsy to see Spring, spring into action. Ha Ha More and more the rays of the sun are warming us and soon we will be in the thick of it...I love your description of the buds waiting to unfurl and the green coming back to Mother Earth...

Thank You for sharing your heartsong here today and come back to sit by the fire whenever you like...

Blessings from across the waters!
