International Women's Day...

In honor and celebration of International Women's Day, I want to say to all of
you Phenominal Women in my life, that you've made a difference!!!  You've supported me in good times and not so good times, you've hugged me when I needed hugs, you've cried with me, you've laughed with me, you've kicked me in the butt when I needed a kickstart, you've held my hand when life was scary, but mostly...well, let's just say that as you let your beautiful light shine, you showed me the Beauty Way...and for that I remain in Deep Gratitude.

I'd also like to direct your attention to my sidebar on the right...Rock the Red Pump Day...(which is March 10th) bringing awareness to HIV/AIDs among women...if you follow this link it will take you to their link page so that you can educate yourself even more about HIV/AIDS.

I read the CapTimes almost every morning .... and I thought this timely article was worth giving a shout out...lots of good info in it and a prompt for all women to get involved in whatever ways that you are able.  It is long past time for women to break down the barriers that bind us.

And last but not least....this beautiful poem to Celebrate This Day, You my Beauty Way Sisters, and our Beautiful Earth Mother and Star Mother...let this be our Prayer today!

Earth mother, star mother,
You who are called by
a thousand names,
May all remember
we are cells in your body
and dance together.
You are the grain
and the loaf
That sustains us each day,
And as you are patient
with our struggles to learn
So shall we be patient
with ourselves and each other.
We are radiant light
and sacred dark
-the balance-
You are the embrace that heartens
And the freedom beyond fear.
Within you we are born
we grow, live, and die-
You bring us around the circle
to rebirth,
Within us you dance
Forever.

Song of the Ostara Goddess

Song of the Ostara Goddess

Crowned with sweet tulips, with snowdrops and lilies,
She gathers the nests in her arms.
She broods over eggs, she shelters small creatures.
The shape of her body burns bright in the grass.
All around you, the smallest ones hatch,
Then they fly and they sing.
Take heart, take heart and take wing.

This is an excerpt from Cait Johnson's
'Witch In The Kitchen'  and one of my all-time
fave books.  It is worn but lovingly has its
own special place amongst my other books.
What I love about this book is all of the
delicious recipes, & exercises contained within
as well as lovely meditations as the wheel of
the year turns, not to mention her own heartsong
in relevance to our kitchens being the heart of
the home, the hearthfires that connect us all.

So as we near to the time of celebrating
Easter...or Ostara..however you celebrate
Spring, rebirth, renewal, I hope we can all
remember our relationship to Earth, our
connection to the foods we put into our
bodies (remembering that food is sacred
and thoughtful) and feel some pleasure
and even wonder as we persue mindful
awareness of the Ostara Goddess which
lives within each one of us.

While reading a few blogs yesterday
I learned that the Beautiful Mary and
her Beloved Jack aka Sweetie, were

that were exchanged between this
man and woman I bring to you the

and to say we are all dancing for you
Mary and Jack and my wish for you

In the following video I can see all of
us who love and care for you dancing

Love...Bless You On Your New Journey!

Apache Wedding Blessing....

Now you will feel no rain,
for each of you will be shelter for the other.

Now you will feel no cold,
for each of you will be warmth for the other.

No there is no more loneliness.

Now you are two persons,
but there is only one life before you.

May your days together be good and
long upon the earth.
