"How Come?"

I ask these questions every day...How Come?  I know in my lifetime I may never know the answer.
What I will use is my voice...through the power of my vote.  I have already voted for the person I think
will bring the best of what is offered to us right now.  Do I want more?  Yes...I want world hunger to end, I want water to be freely availabe to all, not just a few.  I want medical availability when I need it, because it is a human right, not to be determined by lobbyists in Washington, or Wall Street, or insurance companies, but because all humans deserve it.  I want education to be free for all who seek it, taught by those who have lived a certain subject, be it by building a road or bridge, technology, medicine, reading, writing and arithmetic.  Taught in love for another human, and given so that the benefit's reaped will come back to them in another form ... be it barter system or a gift.  That is futuristic of me you say, or living in a dream world, but I don't think it is impossible.  It worked in centuries past and it could work again.  In doing so, everyone benefits....just ask the Elders what they remember.  I see all these things and more through using the power of our voice, but first, we must walk through what is now available to us.

It is time to vote!  Get your vote out!  Vote for the person you most align with, who you think will bring your values to the table.  I pray we all make the right choices...for us, and for the next seven generations.

Then let's pray for a new vision...one where every child's tummy is filled each day, where their needs are met, where they learn in ways that enrich their souls and passions, taught to them by those whose ideology meets and bouys up their own, by those who we can trust with our lives, so that we all can live honorably, and in peace...so that we all can love and be loved.

So we never have to ask ourselves, ever again, "How Come?"  So that finally and forever, we can lay down racism in all of its forms, the guise of religions that hold us back from truly knowing and embracing and yes, even loving one another, instead truly 'seeing' the human behind the eyes, truly listening to their hearts, embracing the life they have lived in whatever form it has taken, so that we are not afraid of cultures that may be different from ours and...so that one day we become that beautiful Rainbow Race, the Ancient Ones said we'd become!

A'HO!
Akasa

(this rainbow appeared over my home two years ago after a turbulant storm...much like what we are now going through in the U.S.  I pray another appears for all of us that spans the U.S!)
