108 Bowls: A Water Mala

For more information - please visit http://www.108bowls.org

Here's wishing you all a wonderful and abundant Friday the 13th!

I've been busy this morning doing all sorts of things in my home...

right now I am finishing up hand washing some lace curtains and

then I'm going to drip dry them and rehang. I've been in and out

this morning checking on the weather as we are supposed to be

getting a weather front moving through in a while here bringing us

some much needed rain. They say strong winds are coming too, but

I will be praying for gentle and easy as I have been all morning.

It has been a busy week for me here...getting lots of little things

accomplished inside and out. I've been blessed with bringing in

good things to eat each day from my little garden...wonderful

Cherokee wax beans (my favorite bean), tomatoes that are so

juicy and flavorful, swiss chard for my salads as well as some

lovely little cucumbers. I've had a veritable harvest supper

each day and am loving it as well as being very grateful! I had

thought the garden delights were winding down, but each day I

go out there is more to be picked .... the tomato vines are starting

to dry up a little and the beans go in fits and starts it seems but

consistent watering with water from the rainbucket I have, has

rewarded me...Thank You Grandmother!!!

Our heat situation here has been horrid...so much so that I don't

stray far from the back door...today I started blessing the heat...

should've been doing it all along I suppose but it is one of those

things where it just popped into my head today so that is what

I've been doing, and now I will bless the rains as they come too.

Time for the heat to move out! I'm not one to be locked up in

my home for too long as I begin to go a bit stir crazy!!! :)

Early on this morning I was doing some singing and some dancing

as I went about my daily chores and thanking Tunkasila that my

efforts of restoring my health have begun to pay off for me...I've

lost eleven pounds now and am gaining some strength and energy

back that had heretofore seemed to have left me? I have really

had that in my awareness...to restore my body to it's original

state of perfect health and well-being...in fact I repeat it quite

numerously throughout the day. It's working! I love it! I am

so grateful!

I feel the summer winding down now as we approach the middle

of August already...Firekeeper and Little Grandmother will be

returning to school in a few short weeks and it will be back to the

grindstone for everyone. They've had a very good summer and

once again am thankful for that! Firekeeper is doing so well in his

summer program that he is in and Little Grandmother is hooked

on Fancy Nancy books...they are my delight in so many, many

ways.....

I hope you all are still sending up healing prayers for our waters

on Mother Earth....we must not forget this each day...last week

and this week I've been praying for the Great Lakes region as it

has been facing some tough issues...and then on the 18th of this

month I will move onto another area on our Beloved Mother.

I have been consistently praying for the most polluted bodies of

water and have been keeping track of it. So that is what I've

been up to...soon we will be enjoying the Turning of the Wheel

once again, welcoming Autumn's beautiful colors, pumpkins,

mums, apples and cider, cooler temps, campfires, and I will

be in Seventh Heaven!

Here's Wishing for You a weekend of Peace in whatever form

it comes in....

Blessings To All!

What wonderful news that you are reclaiming your health! Don't focus for a minute on limitations, but see how your renewed energy will grow! I love hearing about your garden and your enjoyment of its abundance. I love "blessing the heat" and agree that we have become distracted from expressing our gratitude for all parts of life. Much love!

What a beautiful post ! this gives me comfort Akasa . I'm feeling down , overwhelmed etc. just wishing for calm .
we too are now in rain & cool weather and I long to walk along the lake shore . I miss it so much like a piece of myself is gone . Yet when I can take time to go to my room and lay quiet and still it is the rain which calms me reminding me my spirit is free to go , go where it belongs not bound by an inner city filled with gangs & concrete .
I am so blessed to have found another soul sister ☺
love to You
