The UN General Assembly has voted in favor of the
resolution to recognize the human right to water!
The Bolivian government introduced a resolution to
recognize water and sanitation as human rights, and
despite much concern that the U.S. and other countries
may try to defeat this provision, it passed with
overwhelming support. The final vote was 24 countries
in favor and 41 abstaining, including the U.S. This is
great news, and a huge step in the right direction!
